Weekly Photo Challenge: Flowers

Flowers have always been an important part of our lives especially the moment love knocks on our doors. Throughout history, lovers have given flowers to each other as a token of their longing, devotion, and love.

Soon-To-Blossom Lotus (Pasig City’s Rainforest Garden-7.24.10)

The sala of our old home used to have plenty of wallpapers cut from calendars since we couldn’t afford the exorbitant price of paintings to decorate our wall, let alone having some of our few memorable pictures enlarged and laminated for the same. Now, I have more than enough of beautiful pictures to choose from by the time we are to decorate our sala.

Pink and White Flowers (Pasig City’s Rainforest Garden-7.24.11)

Nice collection of flowers. This is the first time I am hearing about the Pasig Rainforest Garden. Is it a nice place to visit?

Yes and one of the good things is, it doesn’t collect fees. You can find a variety of subjects for photography there – flora and fauna at that.

I also feel relaxed whenever I see flowers, especially lotus. No wonder it is used as a term for that particular sitting position in YOGA.

Well, you have nice collection there. Bro,I was late to drop by here since I have complains about my eyes due to constant contact with computer but I think with these photo of yours I was able to have a refreshing sight by just looking at it.

I am also interested with the Rain forest at Pasig. How to get there? I want to bring my Gf there since we are eying for a place where we can savor the beauty of nature.

    P.s.

    Nice post. =)

That’s really “touching”, bro. Hehe …

Anyways, you can ride a jeepney (for P11) or an FX (for P20) at Crossing’s heading Pasig, Palengke. Get off at Palengke proper. From there, you may ask the locals where you can take a trike (for P9) bound to the park.

Just in case you want to check what I found at Rainforest’s Botanical Garden, here’s the link of my blog post for that:

  13. These photos are so beautiful! I love all of the vibrant colors. By the way, that was a very creative idea when you used wallpapers cut from calendars. What a wonderful way to decorate on a budget! Anyway, flowers bring so much joy into our lives. Thanks for sharing. 🙂

Yeah … but it was actually my mother who took extra effort to decorate the walls of our then nipa house. And, it was actually very common in the province, particularly in our town, to use wallpapers from calendars as decorations for the wall. Responding to you brought me back in the days where laid-back kind of lifestyle is still a wonder … Oh, it still is …

Thanks for the words … with purpose 🙂
