Things had been pretty hectic at work, especially in school, for the past two months. I had a bitter taste of increased workload comprising assignments, deadlines, projects, and program development proposals. (This is from my diary two years ago.) So I thought of visiting what’s considered the heart of the metropolis — The La Mesa Eco Park in Quezon City — to have my nature therapy. That is, to recharge and reconnect with myself by walking and filling my lungs up with fresh air.
When I was there, I roamed around to enjoy the scenery and the fresh air to calm and clear my mind. After 45 minutes of walking, I rummaged for a special spot where I can lay my spine and gaze at the blue heavens. I found this tree where I felt like there was something magical in it. I climbed it to find that special spot and to find what my gut was telling me. I was right. There’s something magical that came out of savoring my stay on the branches of that tree.
What I saw when I started gazing the view up and amid the not so clear view of the skies and sturdy branches of this tree, took my breath away. Somehow, the God of Creativity bequeathed to me the wisdom of touching the sun. And I did it. Aside from the relaxing and awe-inspiring view of the sun, I was really able to touch it!
Thanks to my camera phone who helped me capture these photos which proved that we can touch the sun. All it takes is a little creativity at the right moment to come up with something extraordinary like touching the biggest star in the solar system. Yeah, I know that sounds impossible so I am asking you to take a look at the photos below to know what I meant when I said, “I touched the sun—literally!”

Freshly Pressed? I’ve rechecked the post and I was cringing with regret upon learning I failed to proofread it. I missed to put in some important words which caused incoherence at some point.
But I appreciate what you said. That’s still as hot as the sun when I touched it! 😉 Daghang salamat, aRvs!

Thanks for the compliment, Cel! I’m sure you have a multitude of good places there where you can have that kind of “therapy” too. I have long been a fan of your beautiful, powerful country. Don’t forget to share with us the experience, okay?

Oh , wow! You did touch the Sun. It looked like a bright pearl. Your camera phone gives some amazing, clear pictures even the sun can’t resist. Being close to nature makes me forget my life’s worries too. It also gives off a positive energy which we all need. Super cool post. Climbing trees? I used to do that when I was a kid. I don’t know now, I may be to young for disability. Ha, ha, ha. Stay cool my friend. God bless to your family.

Nature heals us, indeed, IT. I’m with you on that.
Concerning climbing trees, I still do that from to time particularly when I’m in the province. Though I don’t take photographs of it anymore. I think it’s already “age inappropriate”.
God bless your family too.

I don’t have a diary but I know person who maintain one, more often than not, is a good person; and good person doesn’t burn his hand when he touches the sun!)
(Off-topic, well having a diary focusing on my sons might cure my occasional short temper on them, but our home is small, must find a way to hide it. Great help Sonny!)

Those unique photos are just awesome! I just love your creative idea of “touching the sun.” Nature therapy is such a wonderful way to recharge our batteries. That sweet little spot amid the beautiful landscape looks like a hidden gem. I’m just happy that you decided to share those magical photos here. It truly must have been a “magical moment” for sure. 🙂

Magic is doing something extraordinary! I believe that’s what I did when I captured that diminutive form of the sun. I never knew that a 2MP camera phone would bring beautiful photos like the ones on this post. They are actually my photo materpiece”s” as far as a camera phone is concerned.
And, of course, being a nature lover too, I certainly know how effective it is to recharge our batteries through nature therapy.
… The world is still truly BEAUTIFUL! Thanks for your words … with purpose.

Not literally, no. Photographically or visually, maybe. Or “trompe l’oeilically” if you must. But not literally, definitely not. 😀
