Weekly Photo Challenge: Contrast

There are dark shadows on the earth but its lights are stronger in the contrast (Charles Dickens).

I took this shot last 23 January 2011 when I climbed the mystical mountain of Arayat in Pampanga. I was savoring my “take 5” under a dying tree at one point of the descent when the dead twigs in front of me caught my attention. So, I pointed my camera towards the twigs while taking advantage of the fading sun’s view in the distance. The upshot turned out incredibly artistic–according to my eyes.

  5. I agree Bro, it is artistic. The colors are warm and inspiringly beautiful. Like a wonderful dream, or a serene vacation among families. The monotone colored twig was a perfect part of the unforgettable image and memory. Guess where I am now? Yep, where the Sun always shine with joy…and the mangoes, deliciously sweet. It feels good to be home. I hope I can capture a similar magical photo soon. God bless you and your family.
