Weekly Photo Challenge: Arranged

One amazing thing about a spider is its ability to create various types of silk where each serves a distinct and separate function. The most useful of these types of silk would be the one it uses in making a web.  A web, which is made up of exquisitely arranged threads, in a cruciate form. Studies show that webs arranged in a cruciate form are more attractive to insects than those arranged in a linear form.

    Dig this.

I’m not a spider person – but they do make great pictures.

I am fascinated by spiders but don’t want to go too near or touch. Great shot and I think the Black and white photo works. Thanks for the pingback to my blog.

  14. I think spiders are icky but this photo showcases this one as being so delicate that I rather like this spider. I like the black and white presentation. The only thing is that the spider web doesn’t show up as mush. Was there a spider web all around or just on the top??? Thanks … Isadora

It’s a great picture – and quite a stunning spider. The black and white makes the spider stand out in all its beauty. This one looks like a big one, though.
