The subject escarpment, Tweig, in the photo, which was framed last 19 October 2012 during my second visit to Red Sand, is part of the large geological formation forming the west boundaries of Central Riyadh‘s upland, Nedj. The tweig is reachable by taking the Mecca Highway from downtown Riyadh west and drive for almost an hour past a series of dry river beds or wadi.
The very popular Red Sand, which is technically called Ad-Dahna Desert, blazoning the narrow strips of red-orange sand set the eastern boundaries of the upland. The Saudi capital Riyadh City lies just beyond the horizon.
This panoramic view can be caught in bird’s-eye view atop the desert’s highest dune.

I am fortunate that the Aura up there brought me in the Middle East. And I hope, some day He will bring me to the Western part of the globe too. (fingers crossed)

It is. I used to think Saudi is just plain desert and all that but like Aludous Huxley said, “To travel is to discover that everyone is wrong about other countries.” I believe he is quite right in saying so.
Regards to your fam too.
