When I started working overseas in April 2012, there was not one vacation that did not take place during summer. I heart that season and I have been very vocal about it.
One of the things I always do to celebrate summer since then is to visit the Camarines Sur Watersports Complex (CWC) to check the estival wakeboard tournaments or simply professional wakeboarders who are just worthy of praises for what they do. I had considered it my best form of diversion. Those mind-bending tricks executed by the wakeboarders are just overwhelming. They put me away from any thoughts about the serious concerns in life.
But I also love watching the stillness of water especially during golden hours. This meant I needed to check its better half located just a few meters away—like a pre-requisite; it is a must even if it is over and over again.
For the record, Lago del Rey comprise one of Bicol Region’s two most sought after water-based entertainment facilities.
As much as I wanted to try it though it was not operational during the entire period that I was there.
Well, gorging on its scenery while the golden hour is on—when the warm color of the low sun enhances the colors of the scene—is enough. I thought I had already seen the best of CamSur Watersports Complex and Lago del Rey’s. I was wrong. There is always something new to see I must say.
Back in 2007, this part of CamSur Watersports Complex (CWC) was just a grassy area. I never knew it will become another big tourist attraction in the Bicol Region.
With Lago del Rey’s exciting water-based entertainment and packages such as boats, water slides, aqua wall climbing, water polo, kayaking, paddle surfing, skiing, dragon boating, swimming, and inflatable and non-inflatable obstacles as well as CWC’s, the region’s tourism is undoubtedly boosted. Their joint forces further enhance CamSur’s growing reputation as truly one of the best tourist destinations in the Philippines.
